An annual community highlight since the mid-1990s, the Celebration of Lights provides an evening for residents and community members to honor and remember those who have gone before us. The evening includes a worship service held in Detwiler Auditorium as well as an opportunity to walk through our campus beautifully dotted with luminaries. Through community sponsorships and individuals appeals, this events raises support for our Good Samaritan Annual Fund. The Good Samaritan Annual Fund and Compassion Endowment provide residents who have outlived their resources with exceptional benevolent care, allowing them to live at VMRC for the remainder of their days.
