Annual Golf Benefit reaches its 37th Year

This year, 73 sponsors, 60 volunteers and 204 golfers came together on the greens of the Spotswood Country Club on Friday, July 21 for the Annual Golf Benefit. Over the years, this event has helped push the VMRC Foundation’s Memory Care Endowment to nearly $2 million. The endowment enables caregiver education and support, as well as specialized care, quality programming and the creation of living environments designed for people who have dementia. This event is held in honor of the late Diane Weaver, who served as an executive team member in the VMRC community for 20 years. She passed in 2020. This year’s benefit netted a record $73,213 to support Memory Care at VMRC. Because of our dedicated sponsors, the 37th Annual Golf Benefit was a great success!

Everence served as the presenting sponsor for this year’s tournament. See more of our featured sponsors below. Another way to assist residents in our Memory Care community includes volunteering.
